Aston Villa suffered a 4-2 defeat against Tottenham Hotspur in the Under-18 Premier League at Bodymoor Heath.
Kadan Young cancelled out an early opener for the visitors as the encounter went into half-time on level terms, with Kobei Moore duly firing the Young Lions ahead in the 52nd minute.
But two goals in two minutes in quick response put Spurs back ahead before they added a fourth midway through the second period.
Villa will be looking to get back on track when they travel to Arsenal in the Under-18 Premier League Cup on Saturday.

Oliver Irow fired Tottenham ahead from distance in the fifth minute before the visitors came close to a second in similar circumstances, Irow's strike parried by Sam Lewis before Mikey Moore sent the rebound against the crossbar.
Rory Wilson fired an effort narrowly wide for Villa before Young latched on to Omari Kellyman's ball over the top, cut inside and fired the hosts level in the 14th minute.
Mikey Moore fired off target for Spurs while Villa goalkeeper Lewis produced excellent stops to deny Jaden Williams and Moore as the visitors pressed for a second goal.
But Villa were providing a threat of their own and Young forced Tottenham keeper Luca Gunter into a save at his near post before half-time.
It was the home side who took the lead seven minutes after the restart as Gunter couldn't hold Kobei Moore's hopeful strike from the edge of the area.
However, Spurs were ahead within five minutes courtesy of two quickfire goals from Damola Ajayi and Mikey Moore.
Spurs stopper Gunter produced a superb one-handed save to deny Wilson before the visitors added a fourth courtesy of Williams in the 71st minute.
Substitute Thomas Bloxham came close to a fifth late on but his lob rebounded back off the crossbar.
