Leander Dendoncker played a key role as Belgium got their World Cup campaign off to a winning start on Wednesday.
The 27-year-old played the full 90 minutes as the Red Devils saw off Canada 1-0 thanks to a goal from Michy Batshuayi.
Featuring as part of a back three, Dendoncker made several key tackles during the contest to help his country to victory.
Three points puts the Belgians top of Group F ahead of Croatia and Morocco who drew 1-1 earlier in the day.
Belgium will now turn their attention to Sunday’s game against Morocco (ko 1pm).
