Vote for your Villa Player of the Month

Villa fans, the time has come to vote for your May Player of the Month, in partnership with Cazoo.

The team began the final month of the season in fine form, dismantling Burnley 3-1 at Turf Moor.

A solid defensive display laid the foundations before Danny Ings, Emiliano Buendía and Ollie Watkins saw the visitors take a three-goal lead.

Douglas Luiz got Villa off to a flying start on home turf against Liverpool before the title chasers scored twice to take a narrow win.

Watkins bagged his second goal of the month when we hosted Crystal Palace but it wasn’t enough to secure all three points as Jeffrey Schlupp levelled late on.

A third home game on the bounce produced a 1-1 draw against Burnley, with Buendía hitting the back of the net to cancel out Ashley Barnes’ penalty.

Villa closed out the month and the season by storming into a two-goal lead against Manchester City through Matty Cash and Philippe Coutinho, before the champions delivered a devastating spell of three goals in five minutes.
