Aston Villa Women are excited to announce the club will be showcasing our WSL Academy for a fixture at Villa Park against Arsenal WSL Academy on Tuesday, May 31 (ko 6.30pm).
The WSL Academy is a full-time programme linking directly with Villa Women’s first team for ages 16-21 to support players in dual careers.
This has been an excellent second season for the club’s WSL Academy group, finishing second in the league on goal difference and narrowly missing out on the play offs, reaching the semi-finals of the cup competition and enjoying several first-team debuts.
The group play an attractive style of football which can be seen throughout our youth pathway, showcasing our identity each week.
Tickets for the fixture against Arsenal at Villa Park on May 31 are just £2 adults and £1 Under-18s.

Head coach Kerri Welsh said: “I am proud of what the Under-21s group have produced this season and they fully deserve the opportunity to showcase their ability at Villa Park as their season finale.
“Games and opportunities like this are amazing experiences for the girls and epitomise what our programme is about, with them learning how to play in front of fans in a stadium, and it shows the support we have from the club.
“I’d like to thank the club and all involved in making this event happen and I hope that we, as a group, can put on a real performance that showcases who we are as a club and a youth pathway.”
