Philippe Coutinho and Marvelous Nakamba returned to Aston Villa’s starting line-up for their Premier League encounter against Liverpool.
Playmaker Coutinho started Saturday’s impressive 3-1 victory at Burnley among the substitutes but was named in Steven Gerrard’s starting XI at Villa Park.
Coutinho came in for Emi Buendía, who found the net at Turf Moor, as head coach Gerrard made two changes from the weekend.
Fit-again midfielder Nakamba returned for his first start since the club’s narrow 1-0 defeat to the Reds at Anfield in mid-December.
Calum Chambers was named on the bench alongside Buendía, while there was also a place for Ben Chrisene in the matchday 20.
