Aston Villa recorded back-to-back Premier League victories courtesy of a commanding 3-1 triumph at Burnley.

Danny Ings bagged an early opener against his former club, his seventh of the season, before the impressive Emi Buendía doubled Villa’s advantage just after the half-hour mark.

Ollie Watkins headed home a third shortly after half-time, becoming the first Villa player to score 10+ goals in consecutive top-flight campaigns since Christian Benteke.

Clarets substitute Maxwel Cornet bagged an injury-time consolation for the in-form hosts, but success ensured Villa have now taken seven points from a possible nine with only the club’s second away league win at Turf Moor in the last 27 attempts.
