Leon Bailey helped Jamaica to a 2-1 win over Honduras in the early hours of Thursday morning as they wrapped up their World Cup qualifying campaign with victory.

The Aston Villa wide man found the net with a first-half penalty and completed 90 minutes as the Reggae Boyz claimed all three points in Kingston.

Jamaica finished in sixth place in the CONCACAF qualifying group for the 2022 tournament in Qatar, with two wins during the campaign, both coming against Honduras.

The visitors opened the scoring courtesy of a penalty from Angel Tejeda before Bailey levelled from the spot himself in the 39th minute.

Ravel Morrison then completed the turnaround in first-half injury time as Jamaica ran out winners to close their qualifying campaign on a high.

Bailey was the last Villa man in action during the March international period, with full focus now turning back to the Premier League and Saturday’s derby encounter at Wolves.
