The Aston Villa Foundation will be showcasing their extensive range of community work at the club’s game against Tottenham Hotspur at Villa Park on Saturday, April 9.
Via a number of activities taking place on matchday, ‘Foundation Day’ will give supporters an insight into the scale and impact of the work undertaken by the club’s official charity.
The Foundation runs programmes and initiatives across a variety of areas, including education, disability, health and wellbeing, and community engagement, to enrich lives across the city.
And on matchday, the Family Fun Zone will be full of activities that fans of all ages can participate in, offering a first-hand experience of the Foundation's work.
You can make your own drink on the smoothie bike with the health team, take part in a skills session with football in the community staff, use a VR headset with the education team and much, much more.
Staff will also be on hand with information about the wide-range of sessions that the Foundation deliver each week and how you can get involved.
Outside in the Trinity Fan Zone, Foundation Ambassadors Oliver Phelps and Nathan Dawe will be taking to the stage for a Q&A, explaining the work they do to support the club’s charity.
Bucket collectors in white tabards, who will be situated around the stadium, will also be selling raffle tickets for the chance to win a signed pair of Emi Martinez’s gloves.
In the club’s hospitality areas, a silent auction offers the chance to bid on a range of signed items and great experiences.
All of the funds raised on Foundation Day will support the charity’s vital work in the local community.
