Internationals: Cash helps Poland book World Cup place

Matty Cash helped Poland book their place at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar at the expense of Aston Villa teammate Robin Olsen on Tuesday night.

The Poles scored two second half goals to see off Sweden 2-0 and win their play-off match.

Cash, who won his fourth cap, and Olsen both played 90 minutes at Silsesian Stadium.

Ollie Watkins and Tyrone Mings started for England at Wembley as the Three Lions beat the Ivory Coast 3-0 in a friendly.

Watkins netted the opening goal after 30 minutes – his second in an England shirt – before he was replaced by Harry Kane after 62 minutes.

Mings, on his 17^th cap, completed a brilliant night for the Villa duo when he scored with a thumping header in injury time.

John McGinn was also on the scoresheet as Scotland drew with Austria in Vienna.
