Aston Villa Women will kick off their 2022/23 season on the weekend of 9th-11th September, it has been confirmed.
The Football Association released a series of 'key dates' ahead of the new season on Wednesday morning, with the opening weekend of the campaign now locked in.
The slightly later start date is due to the upcoming UEFA Women's European Championships, which is due to finish on Sunday, July 31.
Carla Ward's side kicked off the 2021/22 season on Saturday, September 4 with a 2-1 win over Leicester City at the Poundland Bescot Stadium.
Other key dates released by the FA on Wednesday morning include the Women's Championship start and end dates, as well as the final of the Vitality FA Cup.
