With the season now in the middle of a winter break, we've taken a look back at the season so far…
For Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers and Villa fans alike, it has felt like a lifetime since the Gameweek 23 victory at Goodison Park. However, the Villans continue to have some of the main targets for FPL investment.
Lucas Digne (£5.1m) is the most transferred in player ahead of the Gameweek 24 deadline. Digne has gained an additional 133,000 new managers since his 12-point haul against former club Everton.
The left-back has made 115 appearances (112 of those over 59 minutes) during his four seasons in the Premier League. In that time, he has returned four goals, 23 assists, 35 clean sheets, 61 bonus points and ten double-digit hauls. This equates to 437 FPL points since the 2018/2019 season.

These underlying stats have made Digne the perfect replacement for popular Chelsea defenders such as Antonio Rudiger (£6.2m), as the Blues won’t feature in the next two FPL Gameweeks.
Phillippe Coutinho (£7.0m) put himself firmly on FPL managers radars with his debut goal and he continues to be a popular option. He is currently the third most transferred in player ahead of the deadline with over 118,000 new managers investing in the Brazilian midfielder.

Coutinho has registered 730 FPL points throughout his six seasons in the Premier League with both Villa and Liverpool. His 39 goals, 35 assists, 42 clean sheets, 73 bonus points and 24 double-digit hauls make him a key target for managers looking to invest into an in-form Villa team.
Alongside Coutinho, Emiliano Buendia (£6.1m) returned his second double-digit haul of the season, scoring the only goal at Goodison Park. Buendia has now returned in two of the last three Gameweeks and, in this three, has had 147 touches in the opponent’s half. He has also had more successful take-ons in this period than any other midfielder in the game with 11.
Additionally, Buendia has created eight chances since Gameweek 21 - only Raphinha (£6.6) and Bruno Fernandes (£11.7m) have more than this.
