Aston Villa Women supporters have voted Alisha Lehmann as the club’s January Player of the Month, in partnership with Cazoo.
The Switzerland international was the runaway winner for Villa fans following some electric performances on the wing.
Lehmann put in an impressive performance at the start of the month against Manchester City, before bagging a stoppage-time winner against Leicester City a week later.
The 23-year-old, who celebrated her birthday earlier in the month, missed our FA Cup defeat to Chelsea but that wasn’t enough for her competitors to usurp her this time around.
The club’s Player of the Month poll, in association with our principal partner Cazoo, attracted almost 1,000 votes from Villa fans. Lehmann saw off competition from full-backs Maz Pacheco and Sarah Mayling to secure this month’s award.
