Aston Villa Women are just days away from kicking off their 2022/23 campaign.

Following a six-game pre-season, Carla Ward's side are now preparing to take on Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday, September 11.

The season ahead is sure to be an exciting one for all involved, especially after the exploits of the Lionesses in this summer's European Championships.

But before the first domestic ball is kicked, an international window awaits.

Several Villans are set to represent their respective countries over the coming days - here is everything you need to know...

Scotland

Scotland head coach Pedro Martinez Losa named his squad for Scotland’s upcoming double header against the Netherlands and the Faroe Islands, with captain Rachel Corsie involved.

The Scots take on the Oranje in a friendly before their final FIFA Women’s World Cup qualifier in the Faroe Islands.

With one group game to go, Scotland are already assured of a play-off place in World Cup qualification but will be aiming to take some momentum into that make-or-break tie.

Sarina Wiegman named Rachel Daly in her 23-player squad to face Austria and Luxembourg in the coming days as the Lionesses close in on World Cup qualification.

The recently-crowned European champions require just one point from their visit to Austria to secure their place at next summer's Finals in Australia & New Zealand.

They will return home to face Luxembourg at the bet365 Stadium for a final qualifier but will be hoping to have taken care of business beforehand.

Australia

Australia head coach Tony Gustavsson named a 23-player squad to take on reigning Olympic Gold medallists, Canada, in Brisbane and Sydney.

The squad, which involves Emily Gielnik, will take on the Canadians on 3 September and 6 September in a pair of hotly-contested friendlies.

Kenza Dali was named in the latest France squad for their final two World Cup qualifiers.

With qualification already secured for next summer's Finals, the French take on Estonia and Greece in the next few days.

Our no.10 will be hoping for some game time across the two fixtures, having been used sparingly during this summer's European Championships.

Gemma Grainger announced a 26-player squad for her side's World Cup qualifiers against Greece and Slovenia.

Cymru rcurrently hold a two-point lead over Slovenia for second place in Group I, a position that would secure a play-off place if maintained.

Centurion Tash Harding has been selected and will be hoping to contribute to what could be an historic few days for the team as they seek a first ever appearance at the Finals

Anna Leat was named in a 22-player New Zealand squad for games against Mexico and the Philippines in California.

Leat currently has seven senior caps to her name and has featured heavily during Aston Villa's pre-season schedule since arriving from West Ham United.

Republic of Ireland

Republic of Ireland manager Vera Pauw called up 28 players for World Cup qualifiers against Finland and Slovakia, including Ruesha Littlejohn.
 
Ireland will host Finland in Tallaght Stadium on 1 September in what is expected to be a record crowd.
 
A flight to Bratislava will then follow a few days later as Ireland take on Slovakia on 6 September in their final qualifying game in Group A.
 
Ireland hold a slender advantage over Finland in Group A as they aim to book a play-off spot this week.
