Aston Villa scored five unanswered goals as they came from two behind to thrash Brighton & Hove Albion in the Under-18 Premier League.

The visiting Villans were on the back foot early on and found themselves 2-0 down with 13 minutes on the clock.

Rory Wilson and Mikell Barnes replied before the break to level things up before the away side took control in the second half.

Three goals in 15 minutes through Wilson, Omari Kellyman and Kobei Moore saw Villa pick up their first win of the season.

The Seagulls raced out of the blocks and were ahead after five minutes when Bailey Smith collected Jaydon Fuller’s pass and slotted past James Wright.

Smith bagged his second of the game shortly after when his teammates pounced on a Villa mistake and he turned the ball home from close-range.

Wilson drew a fine save from Tommy Reid and Barnes hit the bar as the away side responded positively before the former pulled one back on 40 minutes.

A nine-pass move started in Villa’s defensive third before the ball was worked into Omari Kellyman, who threaded a ball into the path of Wilson and saw the striker produce a composed finish.

Four minutes later, Barnes levelled the scores when he kept his cool to work space for a shot before sending the ball beyond Reid.

Kellyman and Wilson linked up successfully once again on 61 minutes, with the winger slotting the No9 through for his second goal.

The provider became the scorer eight minutes later when Kellyman smashed home from close-range after Villa had stolen the ball back in the final third.

A resounding turnaround was complete after 76 minutes when Moore showed great strength to shrug off a defender before slotting home from a tight angle.
