Aston Villa have once again teamed up with the No.1 independent fantasy football site for the 2022/23 season.

Ahead of Gameweek 3 clash against Crystal Palace, took a look at their advice...

Villa opened Gameweek 2 with their first home match of 2022/23, hosting Everton. The Villans’ 2-1 victory will have pricked the ears of Fantasy Football managers (FPL) managers, as they look to invest ahead of Gameweek 3.

Ollie Watkins (£7.4m) was back in the starting XI and was very impressive. He had two goal attempts, both coming from inside the box, whilst also having seven touches in this area - only Danny Ings (£7.0m) totalled more. Watkins also created two chances for his teammates, with only Emi Buendia (£6.0m) creating more.

The forward was top for expected goal involvement (xGI) across the team. This means that, of all the Villa players, the underlying stats show that Watkins should have been involved in the most goals. This is a highly-attractive feature for FPL managers.

Although Villa didn’t keep a clean sheet at the weekend, the defenders still look like a good investment ahead of Gameweek 3.

Lucas Digne (£5.0m) put in seven crosses against Everton which was the most of all defenders in the game on Saturday.
