Aston Villa tasted victory in the first home game of the 2022/23 season on Saturday as they overcame Everton after a frantic finish at Villa Park.

Danny Ings produced a moment of quality to score the opening goal of the game in the first half, sending a superb shot past Jordan Pickford.

Emiliano Buendia came off the bench to score a second late on, with Everton immediately responding to set up a grandstand finish.
