Ahead of our Gameweek 32 Premier League game against Tottenham Hotspur, take their advice on board...
The FA Cup semi-finals mean that Aston Villa don’t play next week during Gameweek 33. As a result, some Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers have been considering parting company with their Villa assets. However, this could be a mistake.
Philippe Coutinho (£7.3m) is Villa’s most owned player in FPL, currently in 21.7% of FPL teams. Over the last six Gameweeks, Coutinho ranks third for goal attempts (20) amongst all players priced under £10m.

His six attempts from set pieces is only bettered by four players in the game and is more than the likes of Joao Cancelo (£7.0m), Bukayo Saka (£6.8m) and Harry Kane (£12.5m). The Villa midfielder is also in the top ten for touches in the opponent’s half across the entire game with 292.
In Gameweek 31, Villa had the fifth-most shots with 15, once again highlighting their potential for FPL returns.

Like Coutinho, Matty Cash (£5.3m) is currently a popular pick in FPL.
Cash has eight FPL returns throughout the last six Gameweeks, including four in attack. In addition, only four defenders in the game have created more chances than Cash in this period and only two have had more big chances.

FPL managers should therefore look to maintain their investment in the Villans.
