Brad Young has been shortlisted for the Premier League 2 Player of the Month award for March.
The 19-year-old played every minute of Aston Villa’s two matches during the month.
Young showed his poacher’s instincts to score the equaliser in a 2-2 draw against Southampton before the Under-23s lost 3-0 to Wolves later in March.
The goal against Saints was his seventh of the PL2 campaign.
Young is up against Alfie Devine (Tottenham Hotspur), Lee Harkin (Wolverhampton Wanderers), Christian Marques (Wolverhampton Wanderers), James Norris (Liverpool), Dion Rankine (Chelsea) and Tony Springett (Norwich City) for the award.
The winner will be announced in due course.
Good luck, Brad!
