Ahead of our Gameweek 31 Premier League encounter away at Wolves, take their advice on board...

With Everton and Burnley playing twice in Gameweek 31 and Aston Villa not featuring in Gameweek 33, a lot of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers won’t think of prioritising the Villans.

But this could be a big mistake, especially as Steven Gerrard’s side have two fixtures to be rescheduled before the end of the season.

Since Gameweek 22, Philippe Coutinho (£7.5m) is joint-second for goals scored among midfielders.

Wolves v Aston Villa FPL stats

The Brazilian’s 59 points is more than any other in the same period and his 15 chances created is more than any other Villa midfielder.

Likewise, in the same period, Matty Cash (£5.3m) has registered 10 returns and only Liverpool’s Andy Robertson (£7.3m) has produced more from defence.

Of these returns, five have been attacking ones, making Cash a very attractive option for FPL managers.

With defensive team-mate Lucas Digne (£5.1m) fit enough to be included in France’s international squad, he also has great underlying stats.

Since his arrival at Villa Park for Gameweek 23, Digne is tied third across all defenders for crosses while he has also had four goal attempts - three from inside the box.

Wolves v Aston Villa FPL stats

Likewise, both Villa forwards are producing good underlying stats.

Ollie Watkins (£7.5m) and Danny Ings (£7.7m) have created 13 chances for Villa since Gameweek 22. They have also returned three goals and three assists.

Indeed, over the last four Gameweeks, only two forwards have had more shots in the box than Watkins and only two forwards have more attacking returns than Ings.
