Aston Villa Women are well represented for September's Barclays FA Women's Super League award nominations!
After a strong start to the 2021/22 season which has seen us amass seven points from our opening three games, Carla Ward and co. have been recognised.
Wins over Leicester City and Brighton & Hove Albion have come either side of a hard-fought draw against West Ham United, as Villa sit third in the WSL table heading into October.
Find out who's been nominated for the monthly awards below...

Manager of the Month
Our unbeaten start under Carla Ward has been impressive, to say the least. After making 10 summer signings, the resilience within the playing group has been displayed on several occasions already.
Seven points in the opening three games has got us off to a strong start and has given us a platform to eclipse last season's points total this side of the new year.

Player of the Month
Remi has settled straight into life at Villa and has helped us to an unbeaten September following her summer switch from Leicester City.
The vice-captain made an instant impact, scoring the winner against her former club on the opening day of the season.
Allen followed this up with a stoppage time equaliser against West Ham United - her leadership on and off the pitch has been a key part to a positive opening month.

Goal of the Month
Rounding out our monthly nominees is none other than Sarah Mayling.
The lifelong Villa fan recently returned from a four-and-a-half year spell at Birmingham City, and has been a standout performer thus far.
As well as her tenacious defending, Mayling is renowned for her set-piece delivery.
This was highlighted on the opening day when the 24-year-old curled home a delightful free-kick to get us back on level terms against the Foxes.
Congratulations to all nominees!
