Emiliano Martínez was in action as Argentina continued their World Cup qualifying campaign. 

The goalkeeper won his ninth cap as they swept aside hosts Venezuela 3-1, with Lautaro Martinez, Joaquin Correa and Ángel Correa scoring the goals.

Venezuela, who had a man sent-off in the first half, scored a stoppage time penalty. 

Argentina, who omitted Emiliano Buendia from their matchday squad, stay second in CONMEBOL Qualifying for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Tyrone Mings was an unused substitute in England's 4-0 win against Bulgaria, with the Three Lions now heading back to Wembley to face Andorra on Sunday, September 5 at 5pm. 

Conor Hourihane was also left on the bench as Republic of Ireland conceded two late goals to lose 2-1 against Portugal. Ireland continue their qualifying campaign versus Azerbaijan on Saturday, September 4 at 5pm. 

At age-group level, Carney Chukwuemeka captained England Under-19s to a 2-0 victory against Italy at St George's Park. 

The midfielder played 85 minutes and bagged an assist, while club mates Aaron Ramsey and Filip Marschall started on the bench.
