Aston Villa showed four changes to their starting line-up for Sunday’s visit of West Ham United – with Leon Bailey handed his first start for the club.
Bailey was included from the off against the Hammers (ko 4.30pm) following four substitute appearances since his arrival in the summer, with Kortney Hause, Marvelous Nakamba and Jacob Ramsey also in Villa's XI following defeat at Arsenal last Friday.
Tyrone Mings and Axel Tuanzebe were named among the substitutes while Douglas Luiz and Danny Ings were absent from the matchday 20 as head coach Dean Smith battled injury and illness among his ranks.
There was, however, a return to the bench for fit-again striker Keinan Davis as well as teenager Aaron Ramsey.
Midfielder John McGinn wore the captain’s armband at Villa Park as the Villans looked to return to winning ways.
