The Aston Villa Foundation has launched a poetry competiton to celebrate Black History Month.
The competition, which has been officially launched by poet and Foundation ambassador Benjamin Zephaniah, asks children in key stage two to write a poem on Black History Month, or on a role model who is important to them. This could be a family member, a celebrity or even a footballer - why not write a poem on our captain, Tyrone Mings?
The theme of Black History Month is 'Proud To Be' so if you want to follow this theme you can. The competition is open to all schools in Birmingham.
The winner of the competition will win two tickets to an Aston Villa men's home game at Villa Park. You have until October 31 to submit your poem.
Good luck!
