Loan round-up: Vassilev on target for Inter Miami

Indiana Vassilev scored his third MLS goal of the season as Inter Miami made it back-to-backs wins by beating FC Cincinnati 5-1 on Sunday.

Phil Neville's side ended a run of six successive defeats with a 3-0 win over Toronto FC on Thursday, before a dominant victory last night in which Vassilev made an immediate impact. 

The 20-year-old came on in the 66th minute and added his team's third of the game three minutes later with a neat right-footed finish. 

In France, Frédéric Guilbert started and played the full 90 minutes for Strasbourg, but they suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat away at Rennes in Ligue 1.

Lovre Kalinic kept a clean sheet as Hajduk Split drew 0-0 with Gorica, while Conor Hourihane was an unused substitute for Sheffield United's 3-2 victory away at Barnsley in the Championship.

As always, there was plenty to keep an eye on in League Two, with a total of five Villa youngsters in action over the weekend. 

Finn Azaz played a key role as Newport County won 3-1 away at Bristol Rovers, coming on after just 16 minutes and providing an assist for the strike which established a two-goal lead. 

Kaine Kesler-Hayden's Swindon Town and Tyreik Wright's Salford City suffered 3-1 defeats to Bradford City and Forest Green Rovers respectively, with both players coming on as second-half substitutes. 

Brad Young also appeared from the bench for Carlisle United, coming on for the final 35 minutes of their goalless draw with Oldham Athletic, while Dominic Revan made his Northampton Town debut as a late substitute during their 2-0 win at Tranmere Rovers.

Dominic's younger brother Seb Revan was a second-half substitute as Grimsby Town beat Yeovil Town at home, with Ákos Onódi an unused substitute as Bromsgrove Sporting were beaten 4-0 by Peterborough Sports. 

Wesley, Louie Barry, Arjan Raikhy and Mungo Bridge were not involved for their respective clubs this weekend.
