Aston Villa Women begin this season's FA Women's Continental League Cup campaign at Liverpool on Wednesday.
Having reached the quarter-final stage last season, Carla Ward will be hoping to take Villa at least one step further in the search of silverware.
Wednesday may also provide a welcome break from league action, following back-to-back defeats at the hands of Arsenal and Reading.
The 4-0 reverse against the Gunners was made to look far worse than the overall performance deserved, but a further defeat against Kelly Chambers' Royals will require a response on Wednesday night.
Villa progressed from their group during last season's Cup campaign after wins against Sheffield United, Coventry United and Durham.
This year's edition has once again pitted Ward against an-all Championship cast of opponents, with games against Sheffield United, Sunderland and Blackburn Rovers to follow the trip to Liverpool.
Wednesday's game can be followed on our official Twitter account, while tickets can be purchased on Liverpool's website.

Wednesday's opponents come in the form of Championship contenders, Liverpool.
The Reds are managed by a familiar foe in Matt Beard.
Beard went toe-to-toe with Villa last season whilst in interim charge of Bristol City, with the Robins suffering relegation from the top flight on the final day of the 2020/21 campaign.
Now in charge of Liverpool, Beard has overseen a start in which his new side have picked up 13 points from their opening six Championship games.
With several changes expected to be made by Ward, Wednesday's encounter should be an intriguing one.

The Last Meeting
Villa Women produced a superb team performance to beat then-WSL side Liverpool in the Conti Cup two seasons ago.
The game got off to the perfect start when Emma Follis fired home from the edge of the box after just six minutes.
Villa had controlled possession and restricted their opponents throughout.
Emily Syme made no mistake seven minutes from time when she curled the ball past the Liverpool ‘keeeper to secure a memorable win.
