The Big Villa Sleep Out 2021 was a great success, with fans descending on Villa Park for an evening of entertainment in support of the Villa Kitchen.

Almost 100 fans were at Villa Park on Friday, October 8, for the Aston Villa Foundation's annual Big Villa Sleep Out. The event was the first physical sleep out since 2019, with the Covid-19 pandemic ensuring that last year's affair was restricted to virtual only.

With quizzes, tours, visits from Foundation ambassadors Katharine Merry and Ian Taylor, with the latter braving the cold and spending the night, and appearances from Aston Villa Women's players Sarah Mayling, Olivia McLoughlin and Hannah Hampton, the night was jam-packed with memorable moments. Aston Villa captain Tyrone Mings also made a virtual appearance, with John McGinn and Matt Targett supporting from afar through their social media channels.

The event has raised over £13,500 so far, with donations still coming in. Thank you to everyone who has donated; if you haven't yet donated you still have time. All proceeds raised will go to Villa Kitchen, the club's food initiative which provides hot meals to homeless organisations, housing associations and schools to feed children who are not eligible to free school meals but whose parents are still struggling as a result of the pandemic.
