John McGinn helped Scotland to a crucial and dramatic 3-2 victory over Israel on Saturday evening in their bid to qualify for the 2022 World Cup.

The Aston Villa midfielder found the net with a superb strike to level matters in the 29th minute only for the visitors to regain their lead shortly afterwards.

Scotland equalised in the second period before Scott McTominay registered a thrilling 94th-minute winner to send Hampden Park wild.

It ensures second-placed Scotland are now four points clear of Israel in Group F, with three matches remaining.

McGinn, who completed the encounter, now travels with the Tartan Army to the Faroe Islands on Tuesday looking to consolidate second place and a potential play-off spot.
