Aston Villa goalkeeper Emi Martínez has been shortlisted for the prestigious Yashin Trophy.
The Villa and Argentina No.1 has been recognised by France Football as one of the best keepers in world football and nominated for the 2021 award.
Martínez has been shortlisted alongside Gianluigi Donnarumma (AC Milan/PSG), Ederson (Manchester City), Kasper Schmeichel (Leicester City), Edouard Mendy (Chelsea), Thibaut Courtois (Real Madrid), Keylor Navas (PSG), Manuel Neuer (Bayern Munich), Jan Oblak (Atletico Madrid), Samir Handanovic (Inter Milan).
The winner of the highly-respected Ballon d’Or honour will be announced on November 29.
