Jacob Ramsey says spirits are high in the Aston Villa dressing room as they prepare to take on Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

The Villans travel to London boosted by successive Premier League wins, the latest of which came thanks to a superb display against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

And Ramsey insists the squad are desperate to have that winning feeling again when the full-time whistle sounds at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Aston Villa take on Manchester United in the Premier League.

“After the win on Saturday, everyone’s been buzzing and in good spirits,” he said.

“As soon as we were back in training, the standard’s been really good and we’ve been looking forward to the next game.

“Getting that feeling at Old Trafford after getting three points makes the lads want more. We’ve got a game on Sunday where we can get three points and get that feeling back.”

Ramsey has emerged as a regular starter for Dean Smith this season after featuring predominantly from the bench last term.

And the homegrown midfielder, who says he’s looking to add goals to his game, is hoping to help the team once again if chosen to make his fifth league start of the campaign.

He said: “It’s another big game. We’re in good form.

“Tottenham have lost their last three games, but they’re still a top team with top players.

“We’ve got to prepare the same as last week, put in a good performance and make sure we get the three points.”
