Steven Gerrard made three changes to Aston Villa’s starting line-up to face Brighton & Hove Albion (ko 3pm) as he named his first XI as Head Coach.
Ezri Konsa, having served his one-match suspension, midfielder Jacob Ramsey and fit-again Danny Ings returned for the Premier League clash against the Seagulls at Villa Park.
Axel Tuanzebe, Anwar El Ghazi and Leon Bailey were all named among the substitutes having started the club’s 1-0 defeat at Southampton last time out prior to the international period.
There was also a place on the bench for Morgan Sanson, who has overcome his recent injury struggles.
