There were wins in League Two for three Aston Villa youngsters at the weekend, with nine loanees in action in total.

Finn Azaz started and played the full 90 minutes as Newport County produced a dominant performance to beat Stevenage 5-0 at Rodney Parade, with the 21-year-old midfielder scoring the fifth goal of the afternoon.

Kaine Kesler-Hayden also played the full game as Swindon Town won 3-1 away at Oldham Athletic, while Dominic Revan came on after half an hour and helped Northampton Town keep a clean sheet in their 3-0 victory over Carlisle United, with Brad Young an unused substitute for the fourth tier strugglers. 

Elsewhere in League Two, Tyreik Wright was an unused substitute as Salford City were beaten 2-1 at home by Exeter City.

In France, Frédéric Guilbert produced a brilliant display for Strasbourg to help them to a 4-0 victory over Lorient, with the wing-back completing more dribbles (4) than any other player on the pitch throughout the 90 minutes. 

Lovre Kalinic and Hajduk Split suffered a 3-2 defeat to Slaven Belupo, while Wesley came on for the final three minutes of Club Brugge's 2-1 win over Sint-Truidense. 

In the Championship, Conor Hourihane was an unused substitute as Sheffield United lost 1-0 at home to Blackpool and in MLS, Indiana Vassilev started for Inter Miami but they were beaten 3-1 by New York City FC.

Seb Revan came on for Grimsby Town but couldn't prevent them from falling to a late 1-0 defeat against Notts County, but goalkeeper Ákos Onódi was on the winning side at Bromsgrove Sporting beat Ilkeston Town 3-0 in the third qualifying round of the FA Trophy. 

Louie Barry, Arjan Raikhy and Mungo Bridge were not involved for their respective clubs at the weekend.
