Ollie Watkins has received his first senior England call-up following the announcement of Gareth Southgate’s squad for the forthcoming March internationals.
The Aston Villa striker, 25, has been included in the Three Lions ranks for their opening three qualifiers for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
England host San Marino at Wembley on Thursday, March 25, then travel to Albania on Sunday, March 28 before returning to home soil for a clash against Poland on Wednesday, March 31.
Watkins has been in sparkling form for Villa this season, registering 10 goals and three assists in 27 Premier League appearances, during what is his maiden top-flight campaign since arriving last summer.
The Villa frontman is joined in the England squad by team-mate Tyrone Mings, who will be looking to add to his seven senior caps to date since making his debut in October 2019.
Villa captain Jack Grealish has not been named in the squad as he continues his recovery from a recent leg injury.
