The Supporting Our Own small grants scheme aims to help community groups and organisations in the areas surrounding Villa Park.
We are seeking applications from community organisations that can demonstrate how this funding will really make an impact in the local area.
The scheme offers organisations funding of up to £500, and must contribute to one of the following strategies:
- Sport and physical activity
- Health and wellbeing
- Education and learning
- Inclusive opportunities
- Community relations
One such grant that the Foundation recently awarded went to Liberty Jamboree Mixed Ability Football, applied for by Sebbie Hall and his Acts of Kindness campaign.
Sebbie, who has speech and physical difficulties due to a rare chromosome anomaly, has been completing Acts of Kindness to help young people who have been isolated due to the pandemic.
Sebbie and his mum Ashley applied for the grant and were successful, with the money from the grant going towards purchasing much needed sports equipment for the club.
