Watkins scored a hat-trick against Liverpool in his third Premier League game for the club, and he continued to produce the goods throughout the campaign.
Missing only one game through suspension, the 25-year-old was a key part in helping Villa to an 11th place finish.
His domestic form was rewarded with a call-up to the England squad, and he now has three caps and one goal to his name.
