Jack Grealish picked up the Man of the Match award as England finished their preparations for Euro 2020 with a win on Sunday.

The Aston Villa captain won the second half penalty, dispatched by Marcus Rashford, that decided a tight game against Romania at the Riverside Stadium.

Grealish and Mings played the full 90 minutes, while fellow Villan Ollie Watkins picked up his third cap during an eight-minute cameo.

England are into Euro 2020 action on Sunday, June 13 at 2pm, facing Croatia in their Group D opener.

The Three Lions meet John McGinn and Scotland on Friday, June 18 at 8pm, before their final group fixture against Czech Republic on Tuesday, June 22 at 8pm.

McGinn and his countrymen go into the tournament on the back of a 1-0 success against Luxembourg on Sunday.

Che Adams scored the only goal of the game against their opponents, who played nearly an hour with ten men after a first half sending off.

McGinn played the full 90 minutes for his country, who get their Group D campaign up and running on Monday, June 14 at 2pm against Czech Republic at Hampden Park, before heading to Wembley to face England.

They will then return to Glasgow to take on Croatia in their final group fixture on Tuesday, June 22 at 8pm.

Aston Villa vs Stoke City

Bertrand Traore’s Burkina Faso lost out to a late goal against Ivory Coast in a friendly on Saturday, going down 2-1.

The winger left the pitch after 89 minutes, watching from the bench as Amad Diallo scored the winner in stoppage time. Burkina Faso go up against Morocco next on Saturday, June 12 at 11am.  

Douglas Luiz did not feature for Brazil as they eased past Ecuador 2-0 on Saturday in World Cup qualifying.

Brazil head to Paraguay on Wednesday, June 9 at 1:30am before attention turns to Copa América, with Luiz hoping to be named in the squad for the campaign that starts against Venezuela on Tuesday, June 15 at 12am.

Elsewhere, Lovre Kalinic was an unused substitute as Croatia lost 1-0 to Belgium, rounding off their preparations to take on England on Sunday.
