A packed summer of international football is here, and there is plenty of Aston Villa involvement to keep an eye on throughout June and July.

Nine Villa players are all set for action across UEFA Euro 2020, 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, Copa América and international friendlies around the world.

Here, we take a look at where and when you can see them in action...

England

Tyrone Mings and Jack Grealish are set to make their first appearances at a major tournament, after being named in Gareth Southgate's 26-man squad for Euro 2020.

Ollie Watkins missed out on the final group, but Southgate confirmed that the Villa striker has chosen to remain with the team for their two pre-tournament friendlies at the Riverside Stadium in Middlesbrough.

England will face Austria on Wednesday, June 2 at 8pm, before going up against Romania on Sunday, June 6 at 5pm.

Jack Grealish England

The Three Lions are then straight into Euro 2020 action, facing Croatia in their Group D opener on Sunday, June 13 at 2pm.

Mings and Grealish will meet John McGinn and Scotland on Friday, June 18 at 8pm, before their final group fixture against Czech Republic on Tuesday, June 22 at 8pm.

All three of England's group games will be played at Wembley Stadium.

Scotland

John McGinn is also set to feature at a major international tournament for the first time after playing a key role in Scotland's qualification for Euro 2020.

The midfielder has scored 10 goals in just 32 appearances for his country, while he also wore the captain's armband for their 1-0 victory over Czech Republic in October 2020.

John McGinn

Scotland begin preparations with two friendlies on the road, against The Netherlands on Wednesday, June 2 at 7:45pm and Luxembourg on Sunday, June 6 at 5pm.

Steve Clarke's side then get their Group D campaign up and running on Monday, June 14 at 2pm against Czech Republic at Hampden Park, before heading to Wembley to face England on Friday, June 18 at 8pm.

They will then return to Glasgow to take on Croatia in their final group fixture on Tuesday, June 22 at 8pm.

Argentina

Emi Martínez will be aiming to follow up his record-equalling debut campaign at Villa Park with his first senior appearance for Argentina.

After keeping 15 Premier League clean sheets this season, there will be plenty of opportunities for the goalkeeper over the course of the summer.

Emi Martinez Argentina

Argentina resume their qualifying campaign for the 2022 World Cup against Chile on Friday, June 4 at 1am, before travelling to face Colombia on Wednesday, June 9 at 12am.

Following those two fixtures, Martínez will hope to be involved in Argentina's Copa América campaign, which begins against Chile on Sunday, June 13 at 10pm.

Brazil

Douglas Luiz has been impressive during his recent displays at international level and like Martínez, the midfielder is all set for a busy summer in South America.

He has started all four of Brazil's 2022 World Cup qualifiers to date, completing the 90 minutes on three occasions with Tite's side boasting a 100% record so far.

Douglas Luiz Brazil

They will aim to continue that form against Ecuador on Saturday, June 5 at 1:30am, before heading to Paraguay on Wednesday, June 9 at 1:30am.

Attention will then turn to Copa América, with Douglas Luiz hoping to be named in the Brazil squad for the campaign that starts against Venezuela on Tuesday, June 15 at 12am.

Croatia

Lovre Kalinic is the only Aston Villa player heading to Euro 2020 with major tournament experience already under his belt.

The goalkeeper - who spent the second half of the 2021/22 campaign performing brilliantly on loan at Hadjuk Split - appeared at the 2018 FIFA World Cup for Croatia, picking up a runners-up medal in the process.

Lovre Kalinic Croatia

Zlatko Dalic's side will hope to go one better this time around and their preparations began on Tuesday, June 1 with a 1-1 home draw against Armenia, with Kalinic an unused substitute.

Croatia will now face Belgium on Sunday, June 6 at 7:45pm before their Group D opener against England on Sunday, June 13 at 2pm.

Czech Republic are their next opponents on Friday, June 18 at 5pm before they take on McGinn's Scotland on Tuesday, June 22 at 8pm.

Burkina Faso

Bertrand Traoré ended the season in fine form, scoring twice and providing two assists in his final six Premier League appearances of the campaign.

He will be looking to carry that form into Burkina Faso's two upcoming international friendlies.

They face Ivory Coast on Saturday, June 5 at 6pm, before going up against Morocco a week later on Saturday, June 12 at 11am.

Republic of Ireland

Conor Hourihane's loan spell with Swansea City ended in disappointing fashion in the Championship play-off final but he will look to put that behind him with his country in June.

Stephen Kenny's side unfortunately missed out on qualification for Euro 2020 but they are all set for two away international friendlies.

Their first opponents are Andorra on Thursday, June 3 at 5pm, before facing Hungary on Tuesday, June 8 at 7pm.
