Internationals: Grealish, Mings and England suffer Euro 2020 final heartbreak

England suffered penalty shoot-out heartbreak in the final of Euro 2020 on Sunday night.

The Three Lions sent the country into pandemonium with Luke Shaw's early volley inside the opening two minutes at Wembley, as England competed in their first major international final since 1966.

But Leonardo Bonucci's close-range finish pulled Italy level after 67 minutes, forcing the encounter into extra-time.

Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish was introduced after 99 minutes as both sides looked for a dramatic winner inside the extra 30 minutes.

Fellow Villan Tyrone Mings remained an unused substitute as the showpiece finale finished 1-1 and went all the way to penalties on a night of high drama. 

And despite missing first in the shoot-out, Italy prevailed 3-2 to ensure England's 55-year wait for a major trophy would continue.
