Over the national lockdown, the majority of the Foundation’s projects will be going completely virtual, providing virtual support to teachers, parents and children.

Football in the Community

We will be running Virtual Skills Centres throughout lockdown, for children from 2-16 years old.

Sessions will be run four days a week with different age groups on each day, and a specific girls’ session and goalkeepers’ session on a Sunday.

These sessions can be accessed from anywhere in the world, giving Villa fans from afar the chance to experience our coaching sessions, which will be broadcast live from Villa Park.

Schools

Throughout the national lockdown, all Partner Schools will be provided with the opportunity of Virtual Live Lessons direct to their school, to allow us to continue working with children of key workers and from vulnerable families who are still attending school.

We will also provide a Home Advantage Home Learning Programme, funded by Cazoo’s Golden Goals initiative, covering a wide variety of National Curriculum subjects, providing support for schools, teachers and parents five days a week for three lessons a day.

Lessons will be delivered virtually with online registration required and a weekly timetable available. We will also be delivering PE CPD Workshops for teachers, as part of our Teacher Development Programme in Physical Education.
