Aston Villa was saddened to hear of the passing of Captain Sir Tom Moore yesterday at the age of 100.
Capt Sir Tom raised millions of pounds for the NHS during the first national lockdown by walking laps of his garden and captured the hearts and minds of the nation with his selfless act of charity.
As a mark of respect, the flags at Villa Park will be flying at half-mast for this evening's fixture with West Ham United and the club will be supporting the planned national period of applause at 6pm.
