Conor Hourihane was the star of the show for Swansea City once again at the weekend, as his third goal in as many league games helped Steve Cooper's side to a crucial 2-0 win over promotion rivals Norwich City.

The midfielder has been key for Swansea since his January arrival at the Liberty Stadium and following his goals against Brentford and Rotherham United, he unleashed another trademark strike from distance to seal all three points on Friday night.

The Swans' unbeaten Championship run was extended to eight games following the result, with all three points closing the gap on Norwich at the top of the table.

Ally Samatta endured a disappointing weekend as Fenerbahçe suffered a 1-0 defeat at home to arch-rivals Galatasaray in the Turkish Süper Lig.

Mostafa Mohamed's 54th minute goal proved decisive and the Tanzanian striker couldn't add to his four league goals so far this season to get his side back on level terms, before being replaced by Sinan Gümüs with 12 minutes remaining.

In Croatia, Lovre Kalinic also suffered defeat as Hajduk Split were beaten 2-0 by NK Osijek.

Two second half goals from the home side made the difference, with the game swinging the way of the home side following the dismissal of Nihad Mujakic on 51 minutes.

Kalinic's fellow goalkeeper Viljami Sinisalo maintained his record of starting every Scottish Championship game so far this season, but he couldn't stop Ayr United from falling to a 1-0 defeat at home to Heart of Midlothian.

Dominic Revan was key for Weymouth as they responded to back-to-back league defeats with a 2-1 win over Bromley.

The defender - our captain for the FA Cup third round tie with Liverpool in January - has now helped the Terras to three wins in his five league starts.

Tyreik Wright, Indiana Vassilev, Ben Guy, Cameron Archer, Jack Clarke and Callum Rowe were not in action at the weekend.
