The Aston Villa Foundation are calling upon fans to donate unused laptops to help support vulnerable children in Birmingham.
The Foundation are working with Wowdot to support Connect_In, a campaign providing refurbished laptops for education to children who would otherwise not have access to technology.
We are hosting a laptop donation scheme in which fans can come to Villa Park and drop off any unused laptops they may have, which will then be refurbished and distributed to vulnerable children. This scheme will be hosted every Wednesday at Villa Park from 10am-12pm, starting from Wednesday, March 3.
Once the laptop is dropped off, it will be sent to Wowdot and we will not be able to return to you. We will also be accepting any added accessories and chargers that are part of the laptop to ensure the children have all the equipment they need.
CEO of Wowdot Qasim Majid is delighted to be working with the Foundation.
"I am thrilled and excited to be working with the Aston Villa Foundation to help eradicate the digital divide in Birmingham, and it's great that Aston Villa are doing their bit."
Qasim Majid
CEO of Wowdot
Each laptop costs Wowdot £300 to refurbish, so if you are unable to donate a laptop you can donate to the cause directly. The money will be put towards ensuring that the laptops are fit for purpose before being distributed to the children.
Thank you for your support!
