He’s a keeper

Emiliano Martínez (£5.2m) continued to prove himself as the best value Fantasy Premier League asset this season with a 12-point haul against Brighton
The shot-stopper has produced 24.2 points for every million spent, the highest of any player in the division in 2020/21.
Despite Brighton’s 26 attempts on goal, Martínez held on for a 12th clean sheet of the campaign with a record-equalling nine saves and a fifth double-digit haul since signing for Villa.

Martínez was not the only member of the Villa defence who impressed in Gameweek 24. Tyrone Mings (£5.4m) was top of the round for clearances, blocks and interceptions (CBI) with 13.
Like his defensive partners, Mings has now managed three clean sheets in his last four Premier League matches.
Both Mings and Matt Targett (£4.9m) are now in the top ten defenders in the game for their total points so far this season. Indeed, Targett who is fourth is only bettered by more expensive assets such Aaron Cresswell (£5.8m), James Justin (£5.0m), Joao Cancelo (£6.1m) and Ruben Dias (£6.1m).
Attacking assets

Ollie Watkins (£6.5m) continues to be a popular option for FPL managers. He is the seventh most transferred-in player ahead of Gameweek 25, with 72,000+ new owners and counting.
The former Brentford man has now returned in four of his last six Premier League games and is ranked second in the ICT index across all forwards.
However, if you are looking for a differential pick to improve your overall rank or help you to win your mini-league, then Bertrand Traoré (£5.9m) might be the one.

Owned by just 0.5% of Fantasy managers, Traoré has shared set-piece responsibilities for corners, direct and indirect free kicks with Jack Grealish (£7.8m) over the last six Gameweeks.
During that time, Traoré has registered an expected goals (xG) score of 1.18, somewhat higher than Grealish’s 0.77 and better than options such as Phil Foden (£6.1m), Son Heung-min (£9.5m) and Harry Kane (£11.0m).
Investing in Aston Villa assets over the next few weeks seems like a sensible idea given their form and the number of games to be rescheduled. Potential Double Gameweeks in the near future could even put some of the Villans into the captaincy conversation too.
