There was a reduced schedule of fixtures for our loanees at the weekend, with five players in action for their respective clubs.

Frédéric Guilbert was key for Strasbourg as they beat Valenciennes 1-0 in the Coupe de France Round of 64 and they will round off 2021 against Clermont Foot in Ligue 1 on Wednesday night.

In Croatia, Lovre Kalinic kept a clean sheet and received a yellow card during Hajduk Split's goalless draw with Osijek, a result that means they are fourth in the Croatian First Football League going in to 2022, with a game in hand on the two teams above them.

Tyreik Wright

Tyreik Wright came on as a substitute during Salford City's 1-0 home win over Stevenage in League Two and they sit comfortably in mid-table ahead of Christmas, while Finn Azaz's Newport County held on to their place in the top-six despite a 3-0 defeat to Rochdale, with the midfielder playing the full 90 minutes.

Seb Revan was the only Villan in non-league action at the weekend, but his Grimsby Town side were beaten 4-0 away at Stockport in the third round of the FA Trophy.

Wesley, Louie Barry, Kaine Kesler-Hayden, Brad Young, Dominic Revan, Arjan Raikhy, Mungo Bridge and Ákos Onódi were not in action for their respective clubs.
