Ezri Konsa’s double secured a 2-1 victory over Leicester City on Sunday as Aston Villa made it three wins from four under head coach Steven Gerrard.

Konsa applied the finishing touch to Emi Buendía’s header to cancel out Harvey Barnes’ opener, before the centre-back headed home the winner in the 54th minute to seal all three points and lift Villa into the top 10 in the Premier League.

It came on an afternoon when Villa Park united with a sixth-minute applause in loving memory of Arthur Labinjo-Hughes following his tragic and heartbreaking passing.
