The Aston Villa Foundation attended the Aston Community Games over the weekend.
The games, which were held at Aston Hall, gave local charities and organisations the opportunity to show the community what activities and programmes are available to them.
Dozens of excited families attended the event, which was the first of its kind in the area. Activities on offer from the Foundation included football sessions, a smoothie bike, with local organisations offering activities including archery, dancing and story telling. Group activities included tai chi and bangrah dancing, with medals available for those who took part. There were many thanks from local residents, who are already looking forward to next year.
The Foundation's Neighbourhood Engagement Officer Jen Tullett said: "It was a great event to showcase all the different activities and clubs Aston and the surrounding areas has to offer. It would be great to think a child may start a sport or activity after trying it for the first time with us - you never know, they could become an Olympian! A family fun day all around and one I hope we can repeat next year."
