Brad Young scored four as ten-man Aston Villa came from behind to beat West Bromwich Albion in a wild Under-18 Premier League contest at Bodymoor Heath.

The visitors took an early lead before a goal from Carney Chukwuemeka and a brace from Young gave Villa a 3-1 advantage.

A goal from Jamie Andrews gave West Brom the perfect end to the first half before they were buoyed by the sending off of Villa ‘keeper Filip Marschall after 52 minutes.

Kaine Kesler and Aaron Ramsey had been substituted in the first 45 minutes and with Chukwuemeka having been withdrawn at the break, the home side had to put defender Sil Swinkels in goal.

And it wasn’t long before the Dutch youngster was picking the ball out of the net as Rico Richards levelled the game.

Richards handed the away team the initiative on 66 minutes, but the goal only served to spark a sterling comeback from Villa.

Young struck twice in the space of three minutes to put his side back into the lead before Louie Barry scored Villa’s sixth with 14 minutes to play.

Victory came as a huge relief to the Young Lions, who ended a run of three straight defeats to keep themselves fourth in the table.
