Fantasy Premier League managers are eagerly awaiting the rearrangement of Aston Villa’s outstanding fixture against Everton into a future Double Gameweek.

Until we know more about the upcoming schedule, Villa’s key players, and FPL differentials like Trezeguet (£5.2m), will remain on the Fantasy radar across the world.

The Egyptian international shone in the FPL limelight during Gameweek 31 as he returned 14 points for his ownership in just 28 minutes against Fulham.

Ollie Watkins Post-Liverpool

Meanwhile, Ollie Watkins (£6.6m) followed up his debut England goal with an 11th Premier League strike of the campaign on Sunday.

Fantasy managers are sure to be interested in the services of Villa’s impressive centre-forward.

Watkins was top for expected goal involvement (xGI) and penalty-box touches among Villa players in Gameweek 31.

Emiliano Martinez

Furthermore, Dean Smith’s men ranked third across the entire division Gameweek for crosses in Gameweek 30 (23), suggesting that Watkins will continue to enjoy consistent delivery from his colleagues.

Aston Villa’s most popular defensive asset Emiliano Martinez (£5.4m) should remain a key man in Fantasy teams despite a tough trip to Anfield on the horizon.

Martinez has registered save and bonus points in two of the last three Premier League matches. Thus his ability to accumulate additional points makes him a good option, even against a Liverpool side who like to attack, although, of course, they have also blanked in each of their last three at Anfield.

Newcastle United vs Aston Villa

Defenders Matt Targett (£5.1m), Matt Cash (£5.0m), Tyrone Mings (£5.4m) and Ezri Konza (£4.7m) have been phenomenal FPL assets this season.

Over the season the Aston Villa defensive unit, including Ahmed Elmohamady (£4.3m) and Kortney Hause (£4.4m) have registered five goals, 42 goal attempts, 11 big chances, 16 shots on target and 93 penalty area touches.

They have also kept 15 clean sheets, won 276 aerial duals and conceded just 31 goals, the third best in the Premier League. That’s one more than second-placed Chelsea.
