It’s been a busy week in the football world, both in real life and in Fantasy Premier League (FPL).

With fixtures every day from Friday to Thursday, Double Gameweek 32 has been a drawn-out affair. And there's no let-up, with Blank Gameweek 33 starting on Friday evening.

Ollie Watkins (£6.5m) was on form with a goal in both Gameweeks 30 and 31, and with his assist against Manchester City, he has now returned in four of his last five Premier League fixtures.

He is now the fourth-highest scoring FPL forward in the game, having overtaken Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin (£7.5m).

With a fixture against West Brom in Gameweek 33, Watkins will be looking to improve on his 12-goal tally for the season. The Baggies have improved defensively over the last few months but the reverse fixture in December ended in a comprehensive victory for Villa, with Anwar El Ghazi (£5.2m) on target twice in a 3-0 win.

Investing in Watkins looks wise, a previously postponed match against Everton still needs to be rescheduled, meaning the Villans will have at least one Double Gameweek to come in the final six of the season.

With his 20-second goal against Manchester City on Wednesday evening, John McGinn (£5.5m) has put himself back on the FPL radar. He has back-to-back returns in his last two Premier League games (one goal, one assist) and could be the perfect differential for the final month, given that his ownership is just 1.0%.

Matty Cash’s (£5.0m) red card against Man City will lead to a one-match suspension but the rest of the Aston Villa defence are still well worthy of investment, with Ahmed Elmohamady (£4.3m) a good inclusion in Cash's absence.

As the highest-scoring goalkeeper in the game, Emiliano Martinez (£5.4m) continues to be a great option ahead of West Brom’s visit to Villa Park and everything beyond it.

Martinez is the goalkeeper with the highest number of bonus points this season, with his total of 24 being four more than his nearest rival.
