Carney Chukwuemeka was the star of the show as Aston Villa produced a dominant display to reach the semi-finals of the FA Youth Cup.
Paul Appiah and Brad Young scored inside the first ten minutes to give the Young Lions a dream start before Chukwuemeka got his first.
Josh Scott pulled one back in first half stoppage time but two goals in three second half minutes completed Chukwuemeka’s hat-trick and put the game out of the Magpies’ reach.
Substitute Kahrel Reddin completed the rout with a super strike, sending Villa into the final four where a tie against local rivals West Bromwich Albion awaits.

Villa scored nine goals en route to beating Burton Albion in the previous round and they struck after just 67 seconds at St James’ Park.
Louie Barry’s shot was deflected behind and from the resulting corner, Appiah climbed highest at the back post to head home Hayden Lindley’s corner.
A dream start got even better in the eighth minute when Young latched onto Arjan Raikhy’s through ball and neatly passed the ball into the far corner.
The chances kept coming for the visitors and after twice going close, Chukwuemeka netted a sensational solo strike after 28 minutes.
The midfielder collected a short corner and danced inside the area before curling a shot beyond the ‘keeper.
Further chances came and went for Villa, who were struck with a sucker punch in stoppage time when Scott squeaked a scuffed effort in off the far post.

Undeterred by the Magpies’ goal, the away side continued their domination as the second half got underway, restoring their three-goal cushion when Chukwuemeka picked out the bottom corner with a place shot from the edge of the box.
The young midfielder was pulling the strings and with Newcastle unable to get close to him, he completed his hat-trick on 64 minutes when he calmly beat the ‘keeper from close range.
Reddin, who had been introduced at half-time, was catching the eye down the right-hand side, and he got himself on the scoresheet after 76 minutes, feigning to shoot before cutting inside and burying a shot into the far corner.
With West Brom overcoming Everton in the other quarter-final tie, Villa will now prepare to take on their local rivals in the last four.
