Aston Villa's Under-18s continued their faultless start to the season with a 2-1 win away at West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.
After starting the campaign with victories over Leicester City, Norwich City and Reading, Villa travelled to face their local rivals knowing that another success would maintain the only 100% record in the U18 Premier League.
They got off to the perfect start as Brad Young scored his fourth goal in as many games to give his side the lead just after the half-hour mark, with Villa holding on to the lead until the half-time interval.
The Baggies' hopes of a revival were dashed moments after the break, as Daniel N'Goma put through his own goal to double Villa's advantage.
On the balance of play, the visitors were deserving of their two-goal lead but West Brom fought back and with just over an hour gone, Tom Fellows halved the deficit.
Villa had marginally more possession as well as the bulk of the chances throughout, and they held on to earn a fourth successive win at the start of the 2020/21 campaign.
Next up, Villa will take on the only other unbeaten side in the division when they travel to face Tottenham Hostpur on Saturday, October 17.
